Something Different

Saw three crosses on a hillside, seems just the other day.

Silhouettes against the sky, musta' been about noonday.

Another execution but this one, is drawing quite a crowd,

And the closer I get I can hear, it's kinda' loud.

And it seems there's something different going on here.

The two on either side just two thieves, getting their dues.

But, the One in the middle looks like, He's looking through me and you.

The sign over His head says He is, the King of the Jews.

Strange place for a King I think, what about you?

And it seems there's something different going on here.

He doesn't say much but what He does, is full of Grace.

Praying to forgive those who, put Him in this place

. He cries "It is finished!" and the ground begins to quake.

And the darkness in the land made us all just shake.

And I know there's something different going on here.

And I know there's something different going on here.

Now I hear Peter talking, standing up, in this public place.

He was dead, He is risen, he says he's seen His face.

My heart is pricked, Oh my God! What have we done?

And Peter spoke the saving words for you and me, and everyone.

And I know there's something different in me.

And I know, I've got to tell it cross land and sea.

And I know He did it all for you and me.

And I, I thank God...

For something different.

Something different...
